What I Wish For explores the interaction between projected 2D animation and live performance with the aim of integrating the

3-dimensional body of the performer into a 2-dimensional environment. Animated black and white drawings interact with each other and the performer to create fleeting narratives of an associative character, gently taking the viewer on a dreamlike excursion into a familiar yet surreal world of fantasy. The piece is based on myths, fairy tales and biblical stories and draws on visual representations of these.

What I Wish For was created in collaboration with Ahmad Habash (animation) and The McCarricks (music) with support of a Space Bursary at Chisenhale Dance Space, London from January to March 2008.

My name is 192.168.159.16 – is a metaphorical visualization of nowadays-human beings.  In my point of view we are not bounded to one body anymore. We are extended through networks to infinity. The location does not matter, what matters is connection. Thus, at this point I totally agree with Mitchell “disconnection would be amputation. I link therefore, I am.” We are becoming gradually fully equipped and totally dependent on technology cyberorgs.
The installation is using Processing, TTS (text to speech), and Carnivore libraries. Carnivore is used for listening to local network traffic, and text to speech library reads out load the packets send and received. The small speakers will be placed into dolls.

Our Emotions, like our voluntary movements, are just the result of the activity of our nervous system. Emotions act adding “colors” to our behavior. Every emotion has two components: one is the subjective sensation that we feel in our body after inputs from the environment; the other one is the external manifestation of that emotion that usually affects our physiology. Typical responses are changes in our heart and breathe rate and the increase of the activity in our sweating glands. In particular, it is well known that sweating glands are connected with the Hypothalamus, the Reticular Formation and the Cortex, so they reflect the activity our brain´s activity related with our self-conscious and our individual mental status.
A silicone-based creature is able to feel changes in audience´s skin and reflect them with its movements. The electroacoustic composition in the space will make us travel through different emotions during some time. Are we ready to make our emotions public?

The project is a space, a repository of dreams, memories, a place of anonymity, which accumulate feelings. Everyone can share their anonymity past or current impossible loves stories though posting in the online system. People after posting their stories can inform to the recipient that someone mentioned him at some point and has been included in the freezing chamber, where hope and love are preserved despite the years and wrinkles.

Installation consists of two parts, one is the website which receive love stories and visualize a tag cloud that display the more repeated words in the stories that had been depositing for the people and the second is located inside an exhibition room where a printer will print the stories received and deposited in a container that these will.
